Who’s behind KAMI?

Yooo! My name is Jaylen. I’m 24 years old and I’m from Michigan, USA.

First off, thank you for taking the time out of your day to be here and check this out. That alone means more to me than you probably realize. Even just being on this site, getting a feel for what I want to represent and put out into the world, matters.

My whole life I’ve been a thinker… not just surface level, but deeply. As a kid, around 7 or 8 years old, I found myself asking questions like: What is life? What is creation? Where did we come from? What would the universe look like as a blank canvas? Those thoughts never left me. They grew with me.

I see that mindset as both a gift and a curse. Because of it, I don’t just see things for what they look like, I see them for what they are. I can genuinely feel people’s emotions when I talk to them, or even when I hug them. Growing up, especially in my childhood and teenage years, that sensitivity left me feeling lost, depressed, and unsure of where I belonged.

As I got older, I realized something important: I don’t just want to live. I want to make an impact. Yadigggg

With KAMI, my goal is to build something that leaves a mark on the world. Not just through fashion, but through how people think, feel, and connect. I could live a normal life, work a regular job, and follow the system but that’s not my purpose. I feel called to build something bigger. Something that inspires others to recognize their own power and potential, also try and bring the people of this world closer to one another.
